Tweets & Likes

This module allows you to search your Tweets, Retweets and likes.

It is also possible to add tweets that do not come from your Twitter profile: see Adding Manual Tweets in the List page.

A same tweet can appear multiple times on your various Twitter accounts, for example if you retweet one of your tweets with another of your accounts or if you Retweet and like a Tweet. But for Socialfave, there is only one tweet: the original tweet. This has important consequences:

  • A Tweet will appear only once in the search results, even if your search concerns all your accounts and all types of Tweets (Tweets, Retweets, likes).
  • If you delete a Tweet from the application, all its instances (as a Tweet, a Retweet or a like) will also be deleted.

You can view the results of a search in two forms:

  • List : displays the list of the found Tweets.displays the list of the found Tweets.
  • Statistics : displays statistics on the found Tweets.

To select the display mode, seeView below.

The rest of this page describes the common parts to the two display modes: the search system.

You can view the list of the found Tweets or perform statistics on them. For this purpose, just choose the appropriate option in the View section of the sidebar:

If you still have not changed, the search is in Tweets and likes of the working account . However, it is possible to search in a different account. To do this, click on Source on the sidebar and select the account from which the search should be carried out. Select All sources (at the end of list) to search in all your accounts.

If you still have not changed anything, the search is done in your own Tweets.

If you only want to find retweets or likes, click on Criteria in the sidebar and choose the appropriate option.

To search in the Tweets that you added manually, select the Other statutes criterion.

You can also search in all Tweets, whatever their type: choose the « All statuses » criterion.

A final possibility is to search only the Tweets that you put into the trash (they are ignored by other criteria).

Use the filters to refine the selection, for example by taking into account only the Tweets containing a photo or a particular hashtag.

See Filters for the operation of the filters.

Here is the list of filters currently available:

Content

These filters search for the Tweets based on the text and associated elements: links, photos, …

Hashtags

Search the Tweets based on hashtags in the text.

This filter works differently depending on the selected option:

  • at least one : the text of the Tweet must contain at least one of hashtags.
  • all : the text of the Tweet must contain all the hashtags.
  • none : the text of the Tweet should not contain any of the hashtags.

The following table gives a few tweets, those who pass and those who do not pass the filter, depending on the option chosen.

Text at least oneallnone
Earn followers on #Twitter yes no no
Tips #marketing #Twitter yes yesno
Sell ??on social networks #SocialMarketing no no yes

It is possible to use multiple hashtags filters simultaneously for more combinations. For example, if you are looking for information about marketing other than on Twitter, you can search for the Tweets containing #marketing but not #Twitter using two hashtags filters:

The first filter searches all tweets containing the #marketing hashtag and the second filter eliminates those that contain the #twitter hashtag.

Mentions

Search the Tweets based on mentions contained in the text.

The operation is the same as for the hashtags.

Text

Search the Tweets containing a given text.

It is not necessary that the Tweet contains exactly the specified text. In the example a Tweet containing only one of the two words may be appropriate. Similarly if it contains a derived word: for example, “market” rather than “marketing”.

When using this filter, it is highly advisable to sort the results by decreasing relevance so as to have the closest results of text searched first.

Videos count

Search the Tweets based on the number of videos it contain.

Animated GIFs are considered videos.

As Twitter allows only one video per Tweet, you have really only three possibilities:

  • set a cursor to 0 and the other to 1 if you want to search all Tweets, whether they contain a video or not,
  • set the 2 cursors to 0 to search for Tweets that do not contain video,
  • set the 2 cursors to 1 to search for tweets containing a video.

Photos count

Search the Tweets based on the number of photos in them.

Set the left cursor to the minimum number of photos that the Tweets must contain and the right cursor to the maximum number of photos that the Tweets should contain.

The most common uses are:

  • position the left cursor to 1 and let the right cursor to its original position (4) to search for Tweets containing at least one photo,
  • position the two cusors to 0 to search for Tweets containing no photo.

Hashtags count

Search for tweets based on the number of hashtags in the text.

Mentions count

Search for tweets based on the number of mentions in the text.

Example: If you're used to thank your new followers or users who mention you collectively, these Tweets generally contain a number of mentions higher than a conventional Tweet. You can find them easily using this filter with a high number of mentions. It is easy to find the “thanks” Tweets: as example, you can quickly find the “thanks” Tweets.

Links count

Search the Tweets based on the number of links in the text.

The most common uses are:

  • set the left cursor to 1 and let the right cursor to its initial position (8) to find the Tweets containing at least one link,
  • Set both cursors to 0 to search for Tweets containing no link.

You can quickly find the Tweets quoting an article.

Authors

The following filters search for the Tweets based on information about their authors.

Author

Search the Tweets according to their author (usernames).

You can search only the Tweets posted by the specified authors (on') or, conversely, exclude the specified authors of the research (none).

Followings count

Engagement

Search the Tweets based on the engagement of your followers.

Retweets count

Search the Tweets based on their number of retweets.

Likes count

Attributes

This filter operates in the same way as the Hashtags filter.

Miscellaneous

Created at

Search the Tweets based on the date they were posted.

Deleted

Search the Tweets that are in the trash or not.

In the example, the search will show all the Tweets that have been put in the recycle bin for 2 days.

Note: this filter is available by clicking the advanced mode button in the Add Filters window.

Your Tweets, Retweets and likes

The following filters are available by clicking the advanced mode button in the Add Filters window. They will serve you especially working with multiple accounts simultaneously.

Search the Tweets you have posted according to the account that you used and the date of Tweeting.

In the example, the search will display all the Tweets that have been sent with the accounts @Socialfave_EUR and @Socialfave_US during the last week.

If you select of none of these accounts instead of of one of these accounts, the logic is reversed: in the example, the Tweets that were sent with the accounts @Socialfave_EUR and @Socialfave_US during the last week will be excluded from the search results.

Retweet

Search the tweets that you Retweeted based on the accounts you used and the Retweet date.

In the example, the search will display all the Tweets that have been Retweeted over the last 4 days with at least one of @Socialfave_EUR or @Socialfave_US accounts.

This filter, unlike the previous, also contains an option of all of these accounts: if the example used this option, the search would display all the Tweets that have been Retweeted over the last 4 days with each of the two @Socialfave_EUR or @Socialfave_US accounts.

As in the previous filter, the option of none of these accounts reverse the search.

Like

Search the Tweets that you liked based on the accounts you used.

This filter is used as the previous one, with one difference: it is not possible to choose the period in which the Tweets were liked because when a Tweet is liked the date of this action is not provided by Twitter.

Composite filters

These filters are available by clicking on the advanced mode checkbox in the Add Filters window.

See Composite filters.
